SNOW BAN PARKING AREAS:
During the months of November through April,
designated City parks, fields and other open areas shall be open 24
hours/day during official snow bans ONLY as declared consistent with
Chapter 17, Section 17-75. Visit the Public Works Department to
obtain a sticker. The cost is $25.00 per vehicle. Please bring your

STREET LIGHT INFORMATION:
If you notice a street light out or otherwise not
working correctly in your area, you can report it to National Grid. Please call
800-322-3223 to contact National Grid. Please note that National
Grid has removed all of the "red caps" from the lights. If you see a
red cap, report it as an outage.

Effective May 1, 2004. Yard waste may be taken to the
composting facility located off Mill Street in Blackstone adjacent
to the Paul S. Kelly Sports Complex. Mill Street is the first right
after the Allied Waste Transfer Station on Canal Street (end of
River Street). The yard waste facility can be accessed on Wednesdays
from 8:00 AM to 3:15 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM.
In order to use this facility a sticker must be obtained from the
Public Works Department. Your vehicle registration as well as your
driver's license will be needed to verify City residency.
Hazardous Waste Disposal:
To dispose of household hazardous waste, such as
oil-based paint, solvents, propane tanks, etc. please follow the
link provided below :
