Woonsocket's Highland Corporate Park I, located on the Cumberland/Woonsocket line, was originally developed and marketed by the Woonsocket Industrial Development Corporation in 1981. Today, this modern office and industrial park houses a number of businesses including the corporate headquarters of CVS Corporation. In 1992, the City of Woonsocket purchased 60 acres of woodland adjacent to Highland I for an expansion of the park. Development of Phase II was undertaken by the City, with the cooperation of the Woonsocket Industrial Development Corporation; and the Blackstone Valley Development Foundation, developers of the adjacent 200-acre Highland Industrial Park II in Cumberland.Office Building

Primary access to Highland I and II is provided by the newly completed Route 99, a four-lane limited access highway connecting Route 122, at the park entrance, with the I-295/Route 146 interchange.


Highland I and II offer scenic rolling woodlands which provide an excellent location for growing businesses of all sizes. The park sites also have the competitive advantage of location within the designated Woonsocket/Cumberland Enterprise Zone. At present, Highland Corporate Parks offer the only large undeveloped sites available in any designated Enterprise Zone in Rhode Island. Sites range from 3 to 16 acres, and design standards are recorded to ensure that these industrial parks become the premier location for future economic development in Northern Rhode Island. Due to the City's direct involvement in their development, the Woonsocket sites are being marketed at extremely competitive prices.
