Woonsocket - Diamond Hill

The purchase of Woonsocket Plaza by the Koffler Group in 2001 has resulted in multi-million dollar improvements to the site, now known as Diamond Hill Plaza and has brought many new retail outlets to the area.

Major tenants such as an expanded 80,000 s.f. Burlington Coat Factory, Staples, Dollar Tree, GNC, Rainbow Rentals, Price-Rite Supermarket and a number of other smaller retailers have brought new life to the area and join banks and restaurants providing service to consumers in eastern Woonsocket and the surrounding area. The total rental square footage at Diamond Hill Plaza is approximately 221,000 s.f.

Another significant development was the construction and opening, in Fall 2001, of a 165,000 square foot Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse on an undeveloped parcel adjacent to the plaza. This addition brings home renovation supplies, appliances and other household and lumber needs all under one convenient roof.

Walnut Hill Plaza, a short distance from Diamond Hill Plaza, also remains vibrant with new stores filling space as soon as it becomes available. Major long-standing tenants include Sears, Shaw's Supermarkets, and Ocean State Job Lot. The newest occupant, "Lady of America" a fitness center, opened in Spring 2002. Planned road improvements will enhance shoppers' enjoyment of these stores and make their shopping even more convenient. The total rental square footage here is approximately 302,380 s.f.

Other major retail stores along Diamond Hill Road include Wal-Mart and Towne Fair Tire along with numerous restaurants, banking facilities, small businesses, and sports facilities.
